The Moulin de Péroux is located in France, an hour’s drive north of Lyon. It is crossed by the Veyle, major tributary of the Saone, between Mâcon and Bourg-en-Bresse.
The mill and its dependence date back to 1470. The site was for a long time a flour mill, then became a hydroelectric plant in the early twentieth century, bringing for the first time electricity in the homes of surrounding villages.
In 2014, the mill was bought by a couple graduated from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Lyon: Marie-Anita Gaube, painter, and Thomas Bonnotte, sculptor and art founder.
The site hosts a foundry of artisanal art open to artists who wish to work with bronze, aluminum or brass.
The Moulin de Péroux is a unique place, welcoming and warm, where the energy
of the river is omnipresent. The site enjoys an area of 7500m2 divided into five gardens.
